Our Story
Our program was developed by our founder, Joanne Tartaglio. Joanne is a Chartered Professional Accountant who brings a unique blend of entrepreneurial spirit, emotional intelligence, and financial expertise to the table.
As an entrepreneur herself for many years, Joanne started out as a shy bean counter hiding behind her computer. Working from home while raising her family, she got comfortable with the status quo and wasn’t interested in growing her practice any bigger than it already was.
The Breakthrough
After complex trauma, Joanne experienced overwhelm and anxiety. She felt stuck and was putting her energy in the wrong places, and her physical health was declining. The Tony Robbins phrase, “If you’re not growing, you’re dying” applied well to her. Only action would turn things around, so she was faced with making some quick changes, or risk losing everything.
She read many books and enrolled in as many personal growth programs as she could. Most of the topics related to self-reflection, mindfulness, meditation, gratitude, spirituality, mental well-being, family bonding, parenting, interpersonal relationships, habits, and even home organization.
After applying much of what she was learning with a counsellor by her side, eventually her trauma and health issues dissipated, and her new skills remained.
The Impact
Initially, Joanne kept her newfound personal approach close to home and loved ones. Then she slowly shifted her communications to interacting with other people in her community including dog walkers and grocery clerks. Her mindset changed, and she noticed a remarkable response from people who were drawn to her.
Friends and family have not hesitated to tell her how they noticed a clear difference in how she was relating with them. One close family member said her confidence had bloomed, she was easier to open up with, and her authentic self had finally emerged from hiding. Another family member felt Joanne understood them on a deep level, inspired a new sense of hope in them, and motivated them to make some significant life changes. A friend commented Joanne had gone from ordinary to captivating, from self-preserving to courageous, and from existing to inspiring.
The Transformation
Curious and excited about how she could implement her new self into her existing business, Joanne carried on her training in the areas of productivity, work-life balance, relationship management, team management, leadership, business processes, business planning, and growth planning. In doing so, she has made many connections with other business professionals, learning from not only her own experiences but from theirs as well.
Along with her combined experience in accounting, tax, financial, business, and people skills, Joanne has delighted business owners by providing them with multi-faceted solutions, far beyond what is expected from a CPA.
What Joanne has learned over 20 years as a business owner is entrepreneurship is not just about building a business—it’s about growing as a person.
